Sunburst

I think this picture will look best if you click on it to view full size.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens

More, more, more. Rain, rain, rain.
Dear, dear, dear. Me, me, me.

Bazzon

This is my most beloved kitty ever, Bazzon. He is the sweetest cat I have ever met, and I love him and all his quirks to bits.

Elecro-No-No

I have bad news...
I am far too chillax about my electronics, and have sadly misplaced my iPod and camera... The camera is somewhere in the house, I am just yet to find it. But I believe my iPod is at the barn, which really sucks because I won't be there for 2 weeks... :/
I'll see if I can round up an old photo to post in the meantime...

Grand Sunshine - Guest photo

While cruising around Facebook, I came across this picture of my friends, Phoebe and Amber.
I like this picture so much, I decided to put it on my blog as a "guest" photo. It seems to radiate an infectious joy.
It was taken in Grand Bend, by Amber's brother Nathan.

Lack of photos...

Lately, and for the next week, I won't be posting many pictures because I'm working at the ClerView summer camp... Sorry 'bout that!

Last of the toads

This is the last little toadlette to leave our pond. Hopefully they will all return next year to have their babies...

Learner, Leader

I took this picture on Saturday during a beginner lesson. The little girl is Lea (prehaps 6?), who is riding Fancy, and my riding instructor Kris is leading.

Off to *Big Sky Country*

In about half an hour, I will be leaving for Huron county, other wise know as "Big Sky Country".
I won't be back until sometime on Thursday, but you should get plenty of pictures then!
Since I have this song stuck in my head, I am also going to post it... It gives me shivers...

Fancy

Today I learned that my favorite little pony, Fancy, has been badly hurt. She has a large gash on her lower shoulder that needed staples. My riding instructor, Kris thinks that the other horse(s) pinned her in a corner and attacked her. I believe that to be true because anytime a horse walks past her, she flares her nostrils and pins her ears back. When she first came to ClerView, she was not friendly to other horses and would kick at them if they got near. In the past few years she's been there she has calmed down quite a bit and could now be safely led beside one of her pasture mates into the barn. And now after this incident, it has undone all her trust in the horses and she is back to the way she was before. I think this should be Regans que to retire her from the lessons... I am hoping to be able to somehow work with Fancy so she can trust the other horses again.
I love her so, so much.

I see trees of green, red roses too

On this day in Canadian history...

... I have deduced that:

1) it will rain.
all.
summer.
long.

2) taking photos using the "manual" setting is very hard.

3) admitting you suck at using the manual settings - even harder.

4) manual settings to yield some interesting results. (see above photo)

5) its July 1st, and I am wearing a sweater.

6) climate change sucks.

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

"Where were you when everything was falling apart?"

Yesterday was the worst day in history. It rained. ALL. DAY. LONG. And nothing seemed to be going right. I mean honestly, it's June 30th. We need sun and warmth now! I was having such a terrible day that I forgot to take a picture for the day, so I had to go rummaging through old photos, and found this one... Seems appropriate.
