Crazy Lights

This is my new favorite thing to do while driving at night. Setting the camera to a long exposure and then moving it in random directions produces the most amazing abstract photos! The best part is that you never know how one is gpnna turn out... It's like Christmas all over ;D

Lost in the Blue Lagoon

st
This strange picture is of a bicycle which had been skewered on a log and was floating in the very clear deep pool in an abandoned quarry. There were about half a dozen bikes thrown down at the bottom as well.

What i've been up to...

For some reason Blogger refuses to cooperate with the angle at which i wish to display these photos. So, alas, they are crooked.

Back to the drawing board.

Yesterday I got this strange urge to start drawing again... I really do love drawing, especially animals. This picture took me about 2 hours to draw... i know, crazy :/

I think you will be seeing many more of these in the future.

This is building Skyhouse

The sky outside was dark, with intermittent flashes of white lightning. Rain and sleet savagely blew across the open fields, while the wind coaxed wood, nails, and Typar off the roof and tumbling to the ground. The rain on the steel of the garage was so loud and deafening you had to shout to be heard. The smell of burning cheese from the grilled sandwitch my sister was making wafts through the semi-enclosed structure. A lonely cricket chirps to us, a reassuring sound that promises bright skies will return.

This is what it is like.

Blyth!

So, do you know what is so amazingly excitig?! I'm in blyth! Yep, right around the corner from Skyhouse :) and please pardon all the typos in this, you see, I'm writing from my iPod over wifi from the blyth library... I must be rather a sight for passer by to see three people in a car at the side o the road all using some computing device of one type or another... I am staying at the farmhouse tonight, and then going to sleep in the garage at the lot tomorrow. I want to hear those coyotes! It has been a rather hectic day, leaving the house at 8:30 ( we aimed for 7:30, but missed badly) and when we got to the lot we were there for no more than an hour or two when a huge sprayer truck come to spray the soybeans over in the next field with some toxic insecticide.

Dear me, I must abruptly end this because were on the road again...Rest of the story later!

Creatures from the deep...

Jump for joy

Obedience.

YIKES!

oh my, my. It has been an aawfully long time since I posted pictures...
I'll see if I can get some up tonight...

I have a story to read while you wait though =)

So while I was at the barn this Saturday, a family came in who wanted to sign their little girl up for lessons. It's ordinary enough, except that the parents are deaf, and the litle girl only knows a bit of english. They were trying to talk to us in sign language, which didn't quite work so well, as you can imagine.
When I got home I went on the iPod App store, and found this application where you type in a letter, word, or sentence and a 3D figure will sign them out for you, and you are able to change the speed to slow it down. It is actually quite simple to learn... though I think I will have more trouble actually understanding what they say... but i'll get it eventually =)

Some sentences I can sign are...
"My name is Becca, I am 14 years old."
"I am learning sign language."
"That male/female horse is (X#) years old."

Plus a few odds and ends words... Yes, no, slow, fast, be careful, hello, how are you, good, she, he, etc... plus numbers from 1-10

I think this picture will look best if you click on it to view full size.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens

More, more, more. Rain, rain, rain.
Dear, dear, dear. Me, me, me.

Bazzon

This is my most beloved kitty ever, Bazzon. He is the sweetest cat I have ever met, and I love him and all his quirks to bits.

Elecro-No-No

I have bad news...
I am far too chillax about my electronics, and have sadly misplaced my iPod and camera... The camera is somewhere in the house, I am just yet to find it. But I believe my iPod is at the barn, which really sucks because I won't be there for 2 weeks... :/
I'll see if I can round up an old photo to post in the meantime...

Grand Sunshine - Guest photo

While cruising around Facebook, I came across this picture of my friends, Phoebe and Amber.
I like this picture so much, I decided to put it on my blog as a "guest" photo. It seems to radiate an infectious joy.
It was taken in Grand Bend, by Amber's brother Nathan.

Lack of photos...

Lately, and for the next week, I won't be posting many pictures because I'm working at the ClerView summer camp... Sorry 'bout that!

Last of the toads

This is the last little toadlette to leave our pond. Hopefully they will all return next year to have their babies...

Learner, Leader

I took this picture on Saturday during a beginner lesson. The little girl is Lea (prehaps 6?), who is riding Fancy, and my riding instructor Kris is leading.

Off to *Big Sky Country*

In about half an hour, I will be leaving for Huron county, other wise know as "Big Sky Country".
I won't be back until sometime on Thursday, but you should get plenty of pictures then!
Since I have this song stuck in my head, I am also going to post it... It gives me shivers...
